Our focus is on security. The past years has seen an explosive growth in cyber-attacks, and this negative trend does not seem to be reversing any time soon. With Enterprise Security, we at Nextcom are doing our part to ensure that users do not have to worry about such attacks.
Increased cybercrime
Cybercrime in Norway increased by 72% in 2021, which is far faster than the global increase of 40%. Every week, an average of 458 cyberattacks were carried out against Norwegian businesses. According to NRK, Norwegian companies such as Nortura and Amedia were targeted by criminal hackers in 2021. An attack can have major negative consequences such as data loss, downtime and loss of trust with the end customer – and often leads to major financial losses for the company.

Enterprise Security – more than just basic security
At Nextcom, we take the increase in cybercrime seriously and therefore offer our customers Enterprise Security. This is a security solution from Cloudflare that ensures that targeted cyber attacks do not reach your CRM system.
Nextcom’s standard security system protects all our customers against ordinary cyber attacks and helps to ensure that data does not go astray. Despite a solid firewall that prevents internal and confidential data from going astray, a targeted attack can still affect the speed and functionality of your system. For example, a targeted denial of service attack (DDoS) can cause your Nextcom system to become overloaded and slow.
Why Cloudflare?
Cloudflare is one of the world’s best global networks designed to ensure that everything you connect to the internet is secure, fast and reliable. Cloudflare has direct connections to almost every service provider and cloud provider, allowing it to reach 95% of the world’s population within 50ms.

Cloudflare captures and monitors a large amount of traffic across many millions of domain names, and can therefore protect against attacks from bots, malicious scripts, crawlers and hackers on a large scale.
As a result, you can work safer and faster.
Additional components that increase safety
Normal security
Standard security system. Protects all our customers against ordinary cyber attacks and helps ensure that data does not go astray.
- All customers operated in private cloud
- Firewall with port blocking (only allows traffic on port 80/443, web traffic)
- TLS (HTTPS) encrypted traffic between server and user
- Ongoing security audit of Encripto
- Servers in Norway
Enterprise Security
Cloudflare makes sure that targeted cyberattacks don’t reach your CRM system. Work faster, more securely and more reliably.
- Proxy Server (Reverse Proxy)
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Geo and automatic firewall rules
- Rate limiting
- All points contribute to maximum protection against DDoS
More about components that increase safety
Proxy server – better performance, stops attacks
A proxy is a server in front of web servers and forwards client requests (e.g. browser) to the web servers. Traffic first goes to the proxy server, and approved traffic is forwarded to Nextcom’s server. This prevents users and intruders from talking to Nextcom’s servers directly and protects against attacks. The proxy server will also contribute to a noticeable performance improvement on the system, as it is used for intermediate storage of data. Read more.
WAF – Firewall stops attacks
Using an advanced set of rules with machine learning, attacks are prevented. Among other things, this prevents spam bots from submitting forms through landing pages, as these are already known in the network. Read more.
Firewall – Protects
Most targeted attacks are either already known in that the botnet has been used in the past, or it reflects and comes from all parts of the world equally. With automatic firewalls, individual countries can be shut down and banned users must fill in a Captcha to gain access to the server. Read more
Rate Limiting – prevents congestion and attacks
Close monitoring and surveillance of bandwidth usage protects against typical attack methods such as denial of service, brute-force login attempts, API traffic spikes and other types of abuse. This component prevents congestion and attacks against servers and systems. Read more
DDoS protection
All this contributes to maximum protection against DDoS. Read more
